The media committee’s primary aim is to provide a counter-narrative to the developer driven ideology and discourse in the mainstream media.

This committee should work to create a viable platform for HJC to promote its campaigns and other such campaigns of working people resisting and building to fight against the violence of displacement, houselessness and gentrification. This means promoting the value of housing as a human right through discussing HJC’s work and campaigns on social media and potentially building a website.

This also includes working with other HJC participants to generate press releases and media statements.

This committee could also build infographics and charts to support
organizing/organizers etc.
